Welcome to the SAM Synthesizer Site. Let me introduce you to my monophonic analog synthesizer. In many ways its like any other synth but in the its played. It does not have your traditional keyboard keys, in fact it has no keys at all. The way its played is your touch on a contact strip, now your properly thinking oh its a pitch ribbon like the old Moog modular could have. But its not this uses your own body's reactance, you become part of the circuit. And because each person will have different amounts of resistance and capacitance, its sound will differ slytly when a different person plays it, so in a sense your are playing your own body's unique tone. To play it you must touch with one hand a metal plate where you have access to the two control buttons (Kill and Oct down). The Kill is just like a transformer switch that a DJ may use. The Oct down is and Octave down switch that will instanty switch your note an octave down but only for the time you hold it down. Giving you a fast way to play techno style riff lines. Your other hand works as the pitch muniplair depending on where you touch the special contact strip you play your pitch. It is also sensitive to how hard you press for pitch bend, and if you want vibrato its as simple as wiggling your finger on the special contact strip. Giving you great performance capabilities. The Sam synth's will come in both keyboard or guitar formats, and even a switchable ver. Also with its own built in amp and speaker or with just a 1/4 audio output. The ADD input is for add-ons like the ring player, where it bypasses your body's reactance and gives you a simple square wave generator player. Other to come too. I am making custom Instruments for people, just pick your colors, format, GTR, Keyboard, amp or no amp, kill switch, 2 octave switches, etc. Each Instrument in a way is customized to what the person orders.
